Cloud Kindergarten began this year to offer students a chance to learn about OpenStack and how to work with it. The students taking part in this program have access to Devstack so that they can learn about different commands and how to best utilize them in practice. Students are also able to create a tenant or network with routers and host an application like WordPress with databases and web servers.
At the OpenStack Summit in Barcelona, Janika Schafer, Adriano Perri and Oliver Klippel, apprentices at Deutsche Telekom through Cloud Kindergarten, introduced the program to the OpenStack Community and shared their work.
After presenting, Schafer and Perri spoke to Superuser TV about what they learned in this virtual sandbox. The pair also described what skills they’re taking with them and what immersing themselves in the cloud community was like.
